Artist Dennis Glorie Art Exhibition

As a child, Dennis (1972) grows up in an artistic environment. He starts drawing from the moment he is able to hold a pencil, never to let go. At the age of seven he draws his first comic and during the following years he creates a complete series.

At a young age, Dennis discoveres paint and brushes, he draws and paints everything he sees, creativity is constantly flowing. Some years later, graffiti and street art takes a hold of him and at that time he also masters the airbrush technique. Soon after, fine arts gets his interest and after high school, he follows an education at the Graphic Lyceum Amsterdam. He decides to study graphic design, typography and photography, but specializes in art, visualization and illustration.

In successfully completing his education, this results in a job as an illustrator and graphic designer at M- Design, (ID&T). After three exciting and creative years, Dennis decides to start his own design company, called DGID. He creates graphic designs and illustrations for both smaller and bigger, well known companies around the world. Next to being busy with graphic assignments, he spends most of his spare time on painting in an art style he created and developed at the Lyceum Amsterdam. While concentrating on digital illustration artwork for a living, now and then his paintings are sold from his advertising studio.

From the past till this day, Dennis keeps on creating art. He often works from a deeper thought in bright colours, chosen in acrylic technique. His style is carried out in harsh contrasts, often with the choice of complementary colours, always with a sleek black outline. Artists like Picasso and Keith Haring stimulate his passion. The concepts of his colourful paintings often carry a symbolic message or statement.
