Dennis Glorie

Dennis (1972) grew up in an artistic environment. He drew from the moment he could hold a pencil. So he drew on his seventh year his first comic and during the following years he creates a complete series.

Dennis discovered simultaneously paint and brushes. The art has quickly his interest. He draws and paints what he sees. After highschool, he followed an education at the Graphic Lyceum Amsterdam. He focuses on designing and photography with end results towards art visualization and illustration.

In successfully completing his education results in a job as an illustrator and designer at ID&T, where he after three exciting and creative years decides to start his own design company called DGID and from that day on several leading design and illustration art is created . When Dennis has time left, he is busily painting a style he developed at the Lyceum, to continue and refine. For instance, during his work as successful illustrator, paintings are regularly sold from his advertising studio, later he focused completely on painting alone.

Dennis put his own style of painting with determination. He often works from a deeper thought in bright colours, chosen in acrylic technique. The style is carried out in harsh contrasts, often with a complementary colour choice, always with a sleek black outline. Artists like Picasso and Keith Haring stimulate his passion. So this is the beginning and Dennis continues to creating his own style developed into a huge impulse, always looking for new ideas. His paintings are often cheerful, full of bright colours and always powerful.
Often with a deeper meaning and message.
